  1.     Please read this information before attempting to use ONEFOSsil.

  3.     Revision 8 has changed how the port argument on the command line works.
  4.     Please read ONEFOS.TXT - Installing - Port Argument for more
  5.     information.  If you fail to read the documentation, ONEFOSsil Revision
  6.     8 will not function in old batch files.
  7.  
  8.     Please read ONEFOS.TXT - Compatibility Notes about compatibility
  9.     problems with some programs!  It also covers eliminating CRC errors
  10.     under Windows, along with other useful tips.

  12.     ONEFOSsil is not yet complete.  It is however quite useful in its
  13.     current form.  Please be sure to read the documentation, it has changed.

  15.     ONEFOSsil supports most of the FOSSIL 5 specification with exceptions to
  16.     carrier watchdogs, timer chaining, and extension functions.  These
  17.     functions are rarely used with modern IBM PC software.  ONEFOSsil also
  18.     supports many of the X00 advanced functions.  ONEFOSsil also has some
  19.     (very few) extensions of its own.  This information is contained in the
  20.     file ONEREF.TXT now distributed with ONEFOSsil.

  22.     If you have trouble using ONEFOSsil, read ONEFOS.TXT - Troubleshooting
  23.     to see if your problems can be solved there, else read SUPPORT.TXT on
  24.     how to receive support.

  26.     The latest version of ONEFOSsil is available by File REQuest from
  27.     1:285/303@FidoNet.  The latest version plus other related files may be
  28.     found on the Internet at: ftp.members.aol.com/kiwi7416.

  30.     You may have already noticed that ONEFOSsil's archive is Windows
  31.     friendly.  All documentation files have an extension of .TXT rather than
  32.     .DOC.  This makes viewing the files under the Windows environment more
  33.     friendly as users of MS Word for Windows will not be forced to use Word
  34.     for reading the documentation files which are in text format anyway.
